This is a reproduction of the "Brodie" Helmet. It is traditional British Army helmet from both World Wars and gave effective protection against airborne shrapnel. It was used by all services of the military as well as firemen and medics. Warden's helmets were painted dark blue and featured the letter "W" for Warden in bold white writing.
